Sun 27th July | Fife v Astley & Tyldesley Div 1 | Fife | |
It was a much changed A&T line-up that took to the track for the rearranged North & Scotland League Division 1 match at Dunfermline, on Sunday. A&T had riders missing due to injuries, holidays and other absences. For the first time ever, A&T fielded Cameroon riders, Frank Ngonji and Melanie Ngangen, whilst Super Veteran Mike Hack stepped in to complete the team. Fife raced to their expected win, but A&T put up a spirited showing in windy conditions, on a fast track. Duncan Whalley was in great form for A&T, winning five of his six races, beaten only by Fife's Kayden Davidson, who celebrated his 20th birthday with a maximum score. Steve Harris and Oscar Belt put in strong performances, whilst Frank Ngonji did well on his debut.
