Club
Committee Meeting
There will be a Club Committee meeting to be held at the Miners'
Welfare Club on Thursday 3rd July, starting at 7.30 pm. All
Committee members are requested to attend and report on their
particular areas of responsibility. In addition, please be
prepared to discuss and agree the Development Plan that was issued
to Committee members recently. Any club members wishing to raise
any particular issues are invited to make points, either verbally
or in writing, to either the Club Chairman or Club Secretary,
prior to the meeting.

Fixture Change
Please note the following BRITISH YOUTH and JUNIOR LEAGUE REGIONAL
ROUND scheduled for BURY on SATURDAY 7th JUNE 2008 will now take
place at STOCKPORT at 1 pm.
The BRITISH YOUTH and JUNIOR LEAGUE NATIONAL ROUND scheduled for
STOCKPORT on SATURDAY 5th JULY 2008 will now take place at BURY at
12 Noon.
This is due to a water problem at STOCKPORT after somebody stole
the Boiler from the Boiler house and the water supply had to be
cut off.
Regional people please note there are Toilets a short walk away.

Congratulation to A&T Juniors
Congratulations go to: Adam Turnbull; Adam Phillips; Adam Watson;
Ben Dickenson; Jason Elliott; Ben Keen; Matthew Turnbull. All
seven riders have qualified for the four national rounds of the
British Youth & Junior League series - the first of which takes
place at Bury on Saturday 5th July. Riders and parents are
reminded that the national rounds start at 12 noon, so riders are
required to register with the event organiser, as individuals, no
later than 11.30 am. There is an entry fee of £1 per match. Riders
are reminded of the need to have their British Cycling licences
available for inspection by the referee.

bells for Darek & Agnieszka
Congratulations go to Darek Kurkowski, who gets married to
Agnieszka on Saturday 5th July at Kielce, Poland. |

Northern
Individual Championships
Entries are now open for the Northern Individual Championships, to
be held at Hull on Sunday 3rd August.
Entry fees are: Seniors, Veterans, U-19s - £5 per event.
U-16s, U-13s, U-10s, Ladies - £3 per event.
Any riders wishing to enter should declare their intention, along
with payment, to Mike Hack, no later than Tuesday 8th July.

Development Officer Vacancy
Paul Thompson has resigned his position as Development Officer on
the Club Committee. The Club Committee welcomes any applications
to fill this valuable role, with particular reference to gaining
sponsorships and advertising. Any interested parties are invited
to contact either the Club Chairman Bill Phillips, or the Club
Secretary Mike Hack.

Roy is new
Assistant Team Manager
Roy Heslop has agreed to take on the role of Assistant Team
Manager, to assist and deputise for the current Team Manager Mike
Hack. |

British Individual
Championships
Entries for all categories of British Individual Championships
have to be sent to Brian Furness at British Cycling no later than
one calendar month before the competition. Forms can be obtained
from Mike Hack or downloaded from British Cycling's website.

Astley & Tyldesley Miners'
Welfare Club Membership
Membership renewals of
the Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare Club are now due.
Fees for renewals are: Family £10; Male £5; Female £5; Senior
Citizens £4; Senior Citizen £2; Junior £2.
Fees for new members are: Family £20; Male £10; Female £10; Senior
Citizens £8; Senior Citizen £5; Junior £5.
Renewals are due by 31st May, any renewals made after that date
will be charged at the new members rate.
Please note that it is a condition of Cycle Speedway Club
membership that adults are members of the Miners' Welfare Club.

Fixture Amendment
Please note that the start time for the match against
Edinburgh on Sunday 31st August has been changed to 4pm.
Proper consultation took place and both clubs are in full
agreement. |
