Astley & Tyldesley travelled to Bury for the second round of the Northern Fours and Junior League series. A & T were off the pace in a tough Fours League match, with only captain Damien Hack competing effectively at this level.

A & T's youngsters once again turned in an excellent showing in the Junior League match that followed. Becky Heslop recorded her best ever team score, dropping just 1 point in the U-13 category. Rob Longworth also dropped just 1 point, with John Nuttall again in fine form. Damien Hack dropped just 2 points in the U-19 category. However, Mike Hack took a heavy fall in the first race of the Senior Combination category and was taken to hospital suffering from a dislocated shoulder, which will keep him out of action for several weeks.
