Astley & Tyldesley contested Round 5 of the Northern Fours & Junior League series at Stockport this afternoon. Some solid riding saw A&T finish in 3rd place in both competitions. Sheffield beat Hull by three points to maintain their lead in the Fours League table, whilst A&T just pipped Heckmondwike to finish 3rd on the day. Hull maintained their winning ways in the Junior League, with a convincing win, whilst Heckmondwike finished one point ahead of A&T to take 2nd place on the day. Hull's u-13 rider Harry Gibson finished top of the pile in the u-10/ u-13 Ladder match. A&T's Alex Lawless was the top u-10 rider, finishing ahead of six u-13 riders. Hull's Noah Lyon rode to a maximum score in the u-16 category, which was run in conjunction with the Division 1 GP match. Heckmondwike's Darren Kent and Sheffield's Will Banyard were joint top scorers in the Division 2 section, whilst Sheffield's Laura Watson raced unbeaten in the Women's category. The Division 2 and Women's races were run as one match.
