After three weeks without a fixture, Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare / CTA Direct Cycle Speedway had a full weekend of racing.

The team travelled to Bury on Saturday for the opening North & Midlands Regional Round of the British Youth & Junior League series. A & T's four youngsters all turned in excellent individual performances in their respective age categories, with Becky Heslop putting in a great pass to win the U-14 Grand Prix Final, and John Nuttall and Dylan Radcliffe finishing 2nd in the U-12 and U-10 Grand Prix Finals respectively.
